What is SportBuns?
SportBuns is a sports social app that helps you find local pickup games, match with partners at your skill level, and join communities for padel, tennis, running, basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and 30+ other activities. You can browse open games on a map, chat in-app, and build a reliable sports network in your city.
Who created and operates SportBuns?
SportBuns is built and operated by Valeriia Chernova, an independent developer based in Canada. The product is developed in close feedback loops with active athletes who use the app for real games every week. You can reach the team at support@sportbuns.app.
Is SportBuns free to use?
Yes. Creating an account, browsing games, finding partners, joining communities, and messaging are free. Some organizers may list paid games with an entry fee; those are always shown clearly before you join.
How does partner matching work?
SportBuns suggests partners based on sport preferences, skill level, availability, location, and activity signals such as reliability and community participation. You stay in control — you choose who to message, invite, or play with.
How do I find or host a game?
Open the Games tab to see upcoming public games near you, or create your own with sport, date, time, location, and capacity. Share the game link with friends or your community. Hosts can approve join requests when a game is set to request-to-join.
How does SportBuns handle safety?
We provide profile controls, blocking, reporting, and moderation tools. Meet in public venues when possible, tell someone your plans, and use your own judgment. Report suspicious behavior in-app or email support@sportbuns.app — we review reports and can remove accounts that violate our Terms.
What data does SportBuns collect?
We collect account details (name, email), profile information you choose to share (sports, skill, bio, photo), and usage data to operate the service. We do not sell personal data. See our Privacy Policy for full details on storage, retention, and your controls.
How do I delete my account?
You can request account deletion from Profile → Settings in the app. Deletion removes your profile and associated personal data subject to legal retention requirements. Email support@sportbuns.app if you need help.
Which sports and cities are supported?
SportBuns supports 30+ sports including padel, tennis, pickleball, running, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and more. The app works wherever players create games — density is highest in active urban areas. New cities grow organically as local athletes sign up and host games.
Can I use SportBuns on the web?
Yes. sportbuns.app lets you browse games, view communities, and explore profiles on the web. Some actions, such as real-time chat and certain notifications, work best in the iOS or Android app.
